Washington, DC–To coincide with the re-opening of summer school and other community-based programs while recovering from the District of Columbia’s declared state of emergency, the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) will resume regularly scheduled student bus transportation services for all children enrolled in public and non-public placements, participating summer programs or in other jurisdictions–on Thursday, July 5. Delays may occur due to disabled street lights and route alterations from intersections under repair, so parents and guardians are encouraged to contact the OSSE Parent Call Center at (202) 576-5000 for additional information.
Note: Updates for emergency responses are available on the District’s Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency website (hsema.dc.gov), Twitter feed (@DC_HSEMA) and DC311 mobile applications.
