OSSE Hosts District of Columbia Early Childhood Advisory Council Public Forum

The DC Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC) will hold a public forum on July 8 to review 3-Year Strategic Plan

Washington, DC – The Office of the State Superintendent of Education today announced that the District of Columbia Early Childhood Advisory Council ( ECAC) established by Mayor Adrian M. Fenty in May 2010 will hold a public forum to review the draft Three-Year Strategic Plan to improve coordination and collaboration among early childhood education and care programs and services. The forum will take place on Thursday, July 8, 2010, 10 am–noon, at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G Street, NW, A5 Auditorium. District of Columbia early childhood development stakeholders are invited to attend and share their views on the plan and early childhood development priorities.

The ECAC serves as the official state advisory council on early childhood education for children from birth to school entry.
