Parents of English language learners (ELLs) are disadvantaged when helping their children in school because they often do not speak English. Many immigrant parents desire to learn English, yet research shows adult English programs have high attrition rates.

Special education points of contact (POCs) who complete the items in the attached document will assist their LEAs in preparing to serve incoming students with disabilities (SWDs) and ensure that both staff and students experience a great start to for the 2020-21 school year.
