Planning for Automated Data Transfer (ADT) Maintenance

The following information regarding ADT’s maintenance window is provided for planning purposes. There are three types of maintenance of the ADT System:

  • System Maintenance
  • Major Release Maintenance
  • Patch/Emergency Release Maintenance

System Maintenance

System Maintenance is for sustaining the performance, reliability, security and stability of the infrastructure supporting the ADT System.  ADT System maintenance will happen on a regularly scheduled basis each Friday from 1 pm to 4 pm beginning on Friday June 6, 2014 via LogMeInPro.  OSSE will require exclusive access to the ADT System during this system maintenance window which may require local workstation re-boots.

Major Release Maintenance

Major Release Maintenance is for upgrading the services to the latest product version to deliver enhanced features and functionality.  LEA’s will be notified of major release dates   no less than one calendar month before the actual release.  OSSE will post Release Notes describing the new features and functionality via the ADT website one month prior to Major Release Maintenance.  Once in production, ADT System major release maintenance will occur four times per year, approximately every three months.

Patch/Emergency Release Maintenance

Patch/Emergency Release Maintenance is used to deliver scheduled and ad hoc application fixes.  Patch releases and Emergency releases are conducted on an as-needed basis and can occur any day of the week.  Whenever possible, patches and emergency releases are deployed during off-peak hours and without ADT System downtime. Notification of Patch/Emergency Release Maintenance will be made via the ADT website.
