OSSE Hosting LEA Institute for Educators and School Leaders

Wednesday, September 24, 2014

This school year, the District of Columbia Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) will launch an annual three-part institute series to support local education agencies (LEAs). The first convening, It Takes a City: Bridging LEAs to Resources for Enhanced Student Outcomes, will take place on November 7, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

The goal of the institute is to bridge LEAs and educators with District agencies that provide wraparound services and supports to students and their families. School leaders, teachers and administrators from the city’s 61 LEAs are expected to participate in sessions that will help them find solutions to that impact student outcomes. Please see below for a list of partner District agencies.

The It Takes a City series will convene key education stakeholders three times annually around the pressing issues impacting student outcomes in the District of Columbia. For more information about the upcoming institutes, visit osse.dc.gov.
