Washington, DC – The DC State Board of Education (DCSBOE) will hold a public meeting that will include a vote on the Common Core.   In addition, the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) will provide the State Board with a presentation on the 2010 DC CAS preliminary results, as well as a presentation on the programs and initiatives of the Division of Wellness and Nutrition Services.

The public meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 5:30 pm at 441 4th Street, NW, in the District of Columbia State Board of Education Chambers, located on the lobby level of the building.

Constituents who wish to comment at the meeting are required to notify the State Board of Education in advance by phone at (202) 741-0888 or by e-mail at [email protected]  twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled meeting time. Please provide one electronic copy and bring fifteen copies to the hearing for the State Board members to view.

The meeting will air live on District Knowledge Network (DKN) Comcast Channel 99, RCN Channel 18, and Fios Channel 12.
