William LockridgeDistrict of Columbia State Board of Education Board Member William Lockridge died Wednesday, January 12, 2011. Mr. Lockridge represented Ward Eight on the District of Columbia State Board of Education.

District of Columbia State Board of Education President Ted Trabue issues the following statement:

“We are saddened by the untimely death of our colleague and friend, William Lockridge, who was our longest serving member. He cared deeply for the students in the District of Columbia, and he was extremely passionate about education in the Ward Eight Community. He will be sorely missed by all of us on the District of Columbia State Board of Education.”
