The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), Division of Early Learning (DEL) is pleased to announce the Fiscal Year 2022 Early Childhood Education (ECE) Workforce College Development Program (WCDP) application. The purpose of this grant is to support the current workforce in enhancing or obtaining the knowledge, skills and credentials needed to work in early childhood education. The program will provide ongoing, comprehensive support to the current workforce by promoting professional development, staff retention and career advancement in early childhood education. Additionally, there will be opportunities to provide incentives to members of the workforce who already meet the minimum education requirements.
The ECE WCDP grants will be available through a competitive process. Eligible applicants must be able to demonstrate expertise in early childhood education, have knowledge in scholarship programs in DC, and have experience in monitoring scholarships or other awards.
Application Submissions
The ECE WCDP application release date is Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021. The application is available through OSSE’s Electronic Grants Management System (EGMS). All applications must be registered vendors of EGMS to access the application. New vendors should allot at least 72 hours for the registration process.
Applicants must submit the application through EGMS by Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at 3 p.m. OSSE will not accept or review applications submitted at or after 3:01 p.m. on Oct. 20, 2021.
Applicants are encouraged to propose bold and innovative strategies to achieve the objectives of the RFA.
