As a part of its successful Race to the Top grant application, the District of Columbia Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) committed to development of profiles describing the characteristics and performance of each of the fourteen District of Columbia state-recognized educator preparation providers. The purpose of these profiles is to provide the District of Columbia with a valuable reporting mechanism that the general public and interested stakeholders can use to gain information about the District of Columbia’s state-recognized providers of educator preparation. Information in the Educator Preparation Profiles includes information about each program’s entry and exit requirements, how program candidates perform on state teacher and administrator licensure assessments, and other program quality indicators.
