In an effort to offer ongoing support for the Capital Quality on-site administrators, the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), in partnership with Hurley and Associates, LLC, will implement a series of communities of practice (CoP) for principals, center directors, and home care providers. The CoP is part of an effort to build capacity and knowledge as it relates to addressing the 10 quality indicators articulated in Capital Quality’s continuous quality improvement plan (CQIP).  

The following objectives have been established for the CoPs:

1. Provide a platform for participating centers and schools to engage and share ideas focused on the ten quality indicators articulated in the CQIP.
2. Assist providers and instructional leaders in developing resources and tools to assist in implementing evidence-based strategies and practices.
3. Assist providers and instructional leaders in using formal and informal data to design instructional programs that will enhance teacher practices and ultimately improve educational outcomes for children served.
