Leadership Strategies for Strengthening K-8 Mathematics

Last Date:

Location:
810 First St. NE Washington, DC 20002
Building:
OSSE
Room:
Third Floor, Grand Hall
Details:

This fast-paced, example-laden workshop will model glimpses of high-quality, student-centered instruction to establish organizing frames for high-quality mathematics instruction. We will then turn to specific, accessible strategies for providing the leadership needed to transfer this vision of quality into day-to-day instruction in every classroom. Participants will begin a personal and collective to-do list to take these ideas back to schools. Guest facilitator, Steve Leinwand, a principal research analyst at American Institutes for Research (AIR), has more than 35 years of leadership experience in mathematics education.

Instructional leaders and school administrators are encouraged to attend this half-day training, to be held on Wednesday, April 12, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at OSSE, 810 First St. NE, Third Floor, Grand Hall.

Register as space is VERY limited and registration is required. Registration will close one week prior to the event.
