Act Early: When Children Fall Behind in their Developmental Milestones

Units/Clock Hours: 3 Professional Learning Units

Description: Acting early can greatly improve a child’s quality of life, prevent abuse, and improve early education outcomes.  In this training, participants will learn about District programs, DC Early Intervention Strong Start and Early Stages.  Participants will also receive instruction on how to prevent and recognize signs and symptoms of shaken baby syndrome/abusive head trauma.
