The DC STEM Fair is a longstanding tradition for the District’s public, public charter, parochial, private, and home-schooled students to showcase their research skills and compete for a variety of awards and prizes, including the opportunity to represent the District at the International Science and Engineering Fair. The DC Elementary STEM Fair (grades 3-5) and awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2017. The fair will also include an interactive STEM expo for all students.
Each school can register up to five projects for the competition. To register student projects, or to volunteer at the fair, visit the DC STEM Network or email the DC STEM Network at [email protected]. The deadline for project registration is May 18, 2017.
OSSE will host an informational webinar to assist schools in preparing for project submissions. The webinar will explain the school’s responsibilities for reviewing and submitting projects, including recent changes to the process. The webinar also will highlight resources available to aid in organizing school fairs and projects. The webinar will be broadcasted on Monday, April 24, 2017, 12-1 p.m. and repeated on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Register
