Strong Start Campaign

Strong Start Campaign

Children of Washington DC that show early signs of cognitive issues have many places to receive treatment/therapy. Intervening early in a child’s life can have a significant positive impact and enable that child to enter our public school system with a skill set that will enable them to skip over a lot of the struggles they would have encountered if this early intervention had not taken place.

The Strong Start campaign is intended to get parents thinking about the possibility that their child may be showing signs of a disability, and that the Division of Special Education's (DSE) DC Early Intervention Program (DC EIP) within OSSE provides a single point of entry for these parents to learn about their options.
