State Board of Education Student Representative
The State Board of Education’s Student Representative acts as a liaison between the student population of the District of Columbia and education policy makers. This role assists with the development of student led decisions, provides access for students to the Board, and allows the voices of those whom the Board represents to be heard. The ability to inject student outlooks into a largely adult directed educational system is invaluable to the State Board of Education and the greater learning communities within the District of Columbia. The State Board of Education recognizes the important role in involving students in the political process that ultimately influence all students in the District of Columbia regardless of age, location and learning format.
