Monitoring, Professional Development and Technical Assistance
A critical function of Adult and Family Education (AFE) is to monitor sub-grantees that receive federal funds from the U.S. Department of Education and local funds from the District of Columbia Government. AFE monitoring activities include on site visit(s), desk review(s), and classroom observation(s) of each sub-grantee each program year.
The OSSE AFE has a monitoring system in place to evaluate sub-grantee performance. The OSSE AFE monitoring protocol and instrument can be helpful to adult and family education organizations that may wish to apply for OSSE AFE funding in order to help them understand the requirements, expected outcomes and performance targets of OSSE AFE sub-grantees.
