Funding Opportunities to Support Quality Educational Offerings
The Quality Initiatives within the Office of Public Charter School Financing and Support are designed to improve the academic achievement of students attending District of Columbia public charter schools. The programs developed to achieve this end vary and are constantly evolving to meet the needs as determined by people and organizations committed to improving the learning outcomes of District of Columbia students. Two of the most recent programs the Office of Public Charter School Financing and Supported created to assist in improving student learning are the Quality Schools Incentive and the Public Charter Schools Teacher Compensation grants. The Quality Schools Incentive grant is intended to provide DC public charter school campuses with funds to improve the quality of education for its students by addressing an identified area of improvement. The Public Charter Schools Teacher Compensation grant helps individual charter LEAs recruit and retain high-quality teachers in the increasingly competitive DC human capital market. The Office of Public Charter School Financing and Support will continue to work to provide programs that assist in developing, sustaining, and improving high-quality and highly effective programs to improve student achievement.
