Funding Opportunities for the District of Columbia Public Charter School Sector

The Office of Public Charter School Financing and Support manages several federally funded programs for public charter school facility financing, including a Revolving Direct Loan Fund for Public Charter School Improvement; a Revolving Credit Enhancement Fund; the City Build Incentive Grant program; and the Charter School Incubator Facility Initiative. In addition, the Office of Public Charter School Financing and Support manages the District’s federal Charter Schools Program grant from the United States Department of Education. The Office of Public Charter School Financing and Support also funds or has funded various programs to improve public charter school quality, such as the Public Charter School Teacher Compensation grant, Quality Schools Incentive grant,  and Charter School Support Services grant. The Office of Public Charter School Financing and Support will continue to provide grants to improve the quality and effectiveness of public charter schools, and will support the dissemination of best practices and innovation between all DC public schools, both charter and traditional public schools.
