Higher Education Financial Services (HEFS)
DC Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership Program (DCLEAP)
 

The DCLEAP is a grant that assists eligible District residents, who demonstrate financial need. DCLEAP awards up to $1,500 toward the total cost of attendance at public and private colleges and universities in the United States, Guam and Puerto Rico. District of Columbia residents, 24 years of age or younger, attending public and private colleges and universities in the District may be awarded up to $5,000.

 

It must be noted that this award is funded either in part or in whole by the District Government, the Federal Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership Program (LEAP) or the Federal Special Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership Program (SLEAP).

You may apply for DCLEAP using the online DC OneApp by selecting the DC OneApp Online Application link below. Completing the DC OneApp is a three-step process that requires:
 

      1 Completing the DC OneApp on this website

      2 Completing the FAFSA at fafsa.ed.gov 

                                                            and

          3 Providing the DC OneApp supporting documents*

 

All DC OneApp required supporting documents must be mailed or delivered to the HEFS office at the same time. Incomplete documents will be returned and your DC OneApp will be incomplete. An incomplete DC OneApp cannot be considered for an award.

The 2009-2010-DC OneApp is available January 1, 2009.
Funds are limited. Complete your DC OneApp early! 
Early completion increases your likelihood of receiving an award.
The DC OneApp deadline for on time applications is June 30, 2009.
