For Parents   If your child's center was selected to be part of Early Readers Now!, congratulations!   The Early Readers Now! program is a one-to-one “read aloud” program for children ages 3 to 4 years old. Reading to children in subsidized childcare centers throughout Washington, DC, volunteer Early Readers Now! Book Buddies have made a commitment to read with one child on a regular basis, developing a relationship to help better prepare that child for kindergarten.   Early Readers Now! is the program started by the DHS/Labor Management Partnership Council, DHS/OECD and its program partners.
