DC Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership Program (DCLEAP) (Cont.)
Applicants who are Wards of the DC Court must provide :
- Original, signed DC OneApp Supporting Documents Checklist and Agreement
Ward of the Court verification letter
Proof of high school completion
Student Aid Report (SAR)
Affirmation and Legal Disclaimer Statements with original signatures from the applicant
Award Amounts
- Up to $1,500 per academic year (award will be reduced for less than full-time enrollment) (Awards are limited to a maximum of six (6) years from the date of the student’s first college semester, for a lifetime maximum of $9,000.)
- Up to $5,000 per academic year, (award will be reduced for less than full-time enrollment) to DC residents twenty-four (24) years of age or younger attending eligible institutions within the District of Columbia (Awards are limited to a maximum of six (6) years from the date of the student’s first college semester, for a lifetime maximum of $25,000.)
- Awards do not cover summer or mini-terms.
Eligible Institutions

All postsecondary institutions certified by the US Department of Education as being eligible to participate in Federal Title IV Student Aid Programs.

Proprietary institutions are not eligible. Proprietary schools are defined, by the Internal Revenue Service, as institutions that are for profit.
