Application up to $20,000 per school now available online
The Mayor’s Commission on Food and Nutrition under the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is sponsoring the attached RFA that is funded and monitored by the General Mills Foundation and the United Way of the National Capital Area. Each school can apply for up to $20,000 for SY 2010-2011 to improve nutrition and physical education. In addition, each successful applicant must be certified as a USDA Healthier US School Challenge School by February 28, 2011. A total of $200,000 will be awarded and the application narrative can only be two pages. We hope that you will encourage all of your schools to apply for this funding. All applications deadline is 5:00pm on April 15, 2010.
