DC State Board of Education Hosts the FINAL Three HIV Awareness and Prevention Workshops the Week of May 9

Parents and teen students who live in Wards Three, Four, and Six are invited and encouraged to participate in these highly informative sessions.

(Washington, DC) - The District of Columbia State Board of Education and the Office of the State Superintendent of Education are hosting HIV/AIDS Awareness and Prevention Workshops in Wards Three, Four, and Six the week of May 9, 2011.

The events are scheduled to take place as listed:

Ward Three - Monday, May 9, 2011 at 6 pm
Wilson Senior High School located at 4340 Connecticut Avenue, NW

Ward Four - Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 6 pm
Coolidge Senior High School located at 6315 5th Street, NW

Ward Six - Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 6 pm
Eastern Senior High School located at 1700 East Capitol Street, NE

Parents and teen students who live in Wards Three, Four, and Six are invited and encouraged to participate in these highly informative sessions with experts and stakeholders within the District of Columbia on the subject of Education and Awareness of HIV/AIDS.

The workshops will include presentations from the Office of the State Superintendent of Education, and community and nonprofit organizations that are committed to the fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic among the youth in the District of Columbia.

DC State Board of Education Ward Representatives will host the workshops, which are sponsored by the National Association of State Boards of Education, in partnership with the DC State Board of Education and the Office of the State Superintendent of Education.
