The boys’ tournament field consists of teams from the DC Interscholastic Athletic Association, Public Charter School Athletic Association, Interstate Athletic Conference and Washington Catholic Athletic Conference.

The girls’ tournament field consists of teams from the DC Interscholastic Athletic Association, Independent School League, Public Charter School Athletic Association and Washington Catholic Athletic Conference.

Tournament play begins with first-round games at the higher-seeded team on Thursday. Quarterfinal games will be hosted by the higher seed on Friday. Semifinals will be played on Sunday, March 2 at American University’s Bender Arena and the championship games will be played Thursday, March 6 at Verizon Center.
