The following information is related to the annual 618 Child Count Data collection and the related Enrollment Audit requirements for students receiving special education services.
The Child Count/Enrollment Audit requires local education agencies (LEAs) to complete a number of steps during the Fall of each year in order to accurately count all students ages 3-21 receiving special education services, identify their educational environments, and appropriately identify service levels to comply with federal and state reporting requirements.
The following resources provide information about LEA requirements and useful tips for completing the process.
