The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is working with closing LEAs to disburse inventory purchased with federal grant funds. In alignment with our School Closure Policy, we are alerting you about the availability of this equipment. If inventory from a closing LEA was purchased through a federal grant that your LEA also received, your LEA has an opportunity to claim available inventory.
If your LEA (1) is interested in any of the assets in the appended excel sheet (note there are two tabs on the workbook) and (2) receives the same federal grant funds outlined in the chart, please email [email protected] by Monday, July 20, 2015 at 5 p.m. In your response, please outline the name and quantity of equipment you are interested in for your LEA. All LEAs that submit a request will receive an email receipt confirmation within 48 hours of request. Inventory will be distributed to eligible LEAs on a first-come first-served basis. It is imperative that you review and capture items you are interested in as soon as possible.
If approved, your LEA will be contacted regarding the next step in the process. LEAs will be notified via email regarding their inventory receipt status. Please note that if you are granted equipment, it will be the responsibility of your LEA to retrieve the items on the date specified by OSSE. On the day of inventory transfer, a representative from your LEA must report to the closing LEA. LEA representatives, along with OSSE, will verify the serial/tracking number of all equipment individually.
