The OSSE’s Division of Specialized Education is pleased to announce that it is hosting a professional development opportunity on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to ensure all students can access the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).  This opportunity is open to up to 10 LEA Teams of 3-5 staff, and will begin with a kick-off training on January 14, 2014.

Following this training, participating LEA Teams will receive 5 on-site technical assistance sessions in which they will be provided with instructional strategies using the CCSS within the framework of UDL.  In addition to on-site technical assistanceby UDL experts, LEA Teams will be engaged in 3 webinars.  LEA Teams will also participate in the State’s Instructional Community of Practice and will receive additional support on implementing instructional strategies that are evidence- or research-based.
