Student Support Team Training I and II

Student Support Teams (SSTs) are school-based problem-solving teams focused on meeting the needs of individual students. OSSE’s Division of Elementary, Secondary, and Specialized Education will hold a two-part SST training engaging participants in a deep-dive into the SST process to empower school teams. Each session will last three hours. Chose to attend a morning or afternoon session. Attendance of both sessions is strongly encouraged, but not required as different content will be presented on both days.

Training I Focus: (Jan. 24)

  • Overview of SSTs and Response to Intervention (RTI)
  • Best practices for SSTs
  • SST process troubleshooting discussion

Training II Focus: (March 24) - rescheuled from March 14 due to the inclement weather

  • Selecting interventions
  • Curriculum-based monitoring
  • Deep dive into instructional decision-making based on RTI data
