Complying with the meal pattern requirements for the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) or the DC Free Summer Meals Program (FSMP) can be difficult. Providing nutritious and appealing meals for an affordable price can be even more challenging. In this training, we will review the basics of the CACFP and FSMP meal patterns along with tips for providing healthier options, guidance on food purchasing, and information on required documentation.
This training is perfect for the primary program contact as well as cooks and other food service personnel. We welcome Authorized Representatives, such as owners and executive directors, who would like a better understanding of the CACFP and/or FSMP. We also welcome representatives from food service management companies who would like to learn about the meal pattern requirements directly from State Agency staff.
The training for CACFP participants will end at 4:30 PM. FSMP participants will need to stay for an additional half hour to learn about FSMP-specific requirements.
Due to space limitations, we ask that you limit attendance to no more than three (3) representatives per organization. We will send out another announcement the week before the training if we have enough space for additional attendees from each organization.
