On February 4, 2013, the District of Columbia will host the Inclusive Schools Capstone Event, a one-day conference aimed at empowering DC’s Education Community with tools to create inclusive classrooms.

The conference will feature nationally-acclaimed keynote speakers including Dan Habib, Director of  “Including Samuel” and “Who Cares About Kelsey?” as well as dynamic workshops detailing best practices on including students challenged by disability, gender, poverty, cultural heritage, and language.  The Conference’s Exhibit Hall will feature local and national inclusion resources and feature companies including Promethean who will demonstrate the “Classroom of the Future.” 

The Inclusive Schools Capstone is FREE and open to the public. Principals, administrators, LEA leaders, teachers and parents are strongly encouraged to attend. PLU Credits will be awarded to relevant professionals.
