Description: Boost student achievement with learner centered math practices that are aligned with the Common Core Mathematical Standards of Practice for grades kindergarten through third. This seminar will teach participants how to create core, mini, and center lessons that allow students to build the mathematical stamina and perseverance needed to problem solve. Strategies on how to use math literature and manipulatives to increase deep understanding and fluency will be incorporated into lesson planning and assessment development.
