5-E DCMR Chapter 30 LEA Focus Group: Child Find, Evaluation, & Eligibility
The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is initiating a review of key components of Title 5-E, Chapter 30 of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR), the local regulation that governs special education practice in the District of Columbia, with the intention of revising identified key components. The Division of Specialized Education (DSE) will be releasing surveys and holding topic-specific focus groups on key content area “clusters” to inform the work.
Join OSSE-DSE on June 18, 2014 (3:00 - 4:30pm) for a focus group to discuss topics related to the second content area, Child Find, Evaluation, & Eligibility Determination. The deadline to register is Friday, June 13. Please register as soon as possible, as space for this event is limited. Once all spots have been filled, you are encouraged to add your name to the waitlist. The addition of your name to the waitlist does not guarantee registration for the event, but ensures that you will be contacted with further instructions on how to register for the event if space becomes available.
Additionally, the survey, Guiding Questions: Child Find, Evaluation, & Eligibility Determination, opens on May 21, 2014. Please complete and submit the survey by June 11, 2014.
