This training will focus on preparing new and returning sponsors for the successful operation of the Summer Food Service Program in 2014. We will discuss USDA updates and policy changes. As well as conduct an overview of the program which will include a thorough review of site eligibility, meal pattern, HSA and site monitoring requirements. You must attend the mandatory training session in order to participate in the DC Free Summer Meals Program.
Special Instructions for Attendees:
- Parking: There are several nearby parking garages with hourly rates. There is limited 2hr meter parking within a few blocks. Please allow plenty of time to secure a parking spot before the training begins as the garages and parking spaces fill early.
- 810 First Street, NE is also Metro accessible. The office is located about ¼ mile from Union Station (Red Line).
- To gain access to the building, you must bring photo ID and check in at the guard's desk at the main entrance.
- Take the elevator to the 4th floor. Go through the glass doors in the side where there is a waiting area and reception desk in front of a red wall. The receptionist will direct you to the room.
Who Should Attend: The Authorized Representative and/or the Designee of the Authorized Representative and the Program Contact Person must attend the training.
