RaeShawn Crosson-Settles

Director of Operations

As OSSE’s Director of Operations, RaeShawn Crosson-Settles has been instrumental in the development of a model state education agency through her pioneering of personnel shifts in alignment with the Public Education Reform Act of 2007. As Director,  Crosson-Settles is responsible for providing direct support to 2,200 employees in the areas of risk management, fiscal coordination, facilities, procurement, human resources, customer service and labor relations.  

RaeShawn brings extensive management experience to the Director position with professional expertise in strategic planning, training, investigation, change management, budget preparation, compensation and pay parity analysis, technology utilization, and facilities management.  Prior to her current position, Crosson-Settles served as the Director of Human Resources and Human Capital Transition Lead with the Office of State Superintendent of Education. RaeShawn additionally worked in organizational development and learning and change management roles with New York University Medical Center and with Jason’s Consultants, LLC.

Mrs. Crosson-Settles holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Human Resource Management.  As a Certified Public Manager, Mrs. Crosson-Settles is an active member of the International Public Mangers Associations and the Society of Human Resource Management

Mrs. Crosson-Settles currently resides in Ward 5 in the District of Columbia with her family.
