Monica Warren-Jones

Monica Warren-Jones is the Director of Relationship Management for the DC Local Office of Enterprise Community Partners, Inc, a national financial intermediary that provides investment capital and technical expertise to create affordable housing and revitalize communities. At Enterprise, Ms. Warren-Jones works diligently to provide financing solutions that lead to the creation and preservation of sustainable, affordable housing and community facilities in the Washington metro area for low and moderate-income residents. Ms. Warren-Jones is proud to work for an organization that developed green building standards that help to ensure families in the District of Columbia have healthy and high-performing homes and are now required under the DC Green Building Legislation.
Ms. Warren-Jones has brought her work in the finance industry to schools across the District of Columbia as a volunteer for Operation Hope, a national nonprofit organization that facilitates financial education in schools. While volunteering, she delivered the “Banking on Our Future” curriculum to promote financial literacy to middle school students. She has also mentored at-risk, elementary school children through the Everybody Wins Reading Program at the Wilson Taylor Elementary School. Ms. Warren-Jones an active parent and prior member of the Capital Hill Cluster PTA Board, where she previously served as Co-Treasurer of a $100,000 budget to support professional development and special initiatives in three District of Columbia Public Schools.
Ms. Warren-Jones holds a BA in Business Administration from Howard University. She earned her MBA from Boston College and her MPA in Government from Harvard University.
Monica Warren-Jones was elected to the District of Columbia State Board of Education in November 2010. She lives with her husband Kevin Hinton, and their two girls, Simone and Sophia, on Capitol Hill.
